York’s Wild Kingdom
Thanks to the Team Aidan member who read about us in the newspaper and generously decided to comp us tickets to York’s Wild Kingdom. There really was something for everyone.
We also saw alligators, kangaroos, and an elephant that paints and plays the harmonica. That elephant must have a great occupational therapist, or do you think he just does it for fun? Imagine that. When we went into Butterfly Kingdom, a big and beautiful, blue butterfly (this post is clearly sponsored by the letter B) landed on Garreth. As much as we tried to show Aidan, he only had eyes and smiles for his Daddy.
I asked Garreth to take Aidan on the merry-go-round while Liam and I went on the ferris wheel. Garreth said he couldn’t do it. Really? Loves roller coasters but not man enough for a merry-go-round? Yup, he’ll be hearing about that for awhile. Liam and I ended the day splitting a huge fried dough, which was my top priority. Both Garreth and Aidan, who can’t eat those because of food restrictions, cheated and got a bite.
