Thankful Thursday Struts
Today I’m thankful for Aidan’s broken wheelchair. I know, I know; I’ve written lots about how I love his wheelchair so clearly I don’t want it to break. It was only broken for a moment and I needed to take Aidan to school without his chair. They have an adaptive classroom chair for him to sit in so he can get through his day if need be. So, if he couldn’t drive into school, how would he get in?
WALK like everyone else. It was fabulous. On a chilly early morning Aidan walked among the crowd, giggling loudly as he watched his classmates breeze by. Several of them smiled and said hello because inclusion rocks.
If it warms up in our last few weeks of school I plan on having Aidan strut to school a few more times. I love having this option.
