I’m thankful for play time with Aidan. Because all Aidan really wants is attention, I can usually get away with just snuggling him. Yesterday I put forth the effort to really play with him. We busted out the ipad and he made some choices. He mostly wanted to play ball. If he threw it down he’d have to make a choice again. He pretty consistently chose ball, which I knew he wanted because he was looking at it. A few times he just tried to drum on the ipad, but I’d pull it away and tell him he needed to point to make a choice. At that point he chose music, and he really rocked out with his tambourine. It was wonderful for me to see him so engaged and really following directions. Gosh, I started this post thinking it was about playing together when I really think it’s about how smart my boy is. I’m thankful my boy is so dang smart.
