Today I’m thankful for cup holders. It’s often the small things in my world that I can get excited about. We ordered Aidan’s new wheelchair today and it took three professionals and about ten thousand decisions to place the order. I felt very educated and included in each decision, even though I mostly deferred to the pros. I had choose the color, where to put the computer, what type of handles we wanted, and yes please we’ll take the tires that don’t get flat. It’s pretty overwhelming. At one point I was remembering how many decision we had to make to order his much simpler stroller and how it didn’t even come with a cup holder. I had stroller envy because all the strollers for neuro-typical babies come with cup holders. Everyone knows a mom should have access to a good
stiff drink cup o’ joe. So the salesman said, “Would you like a cup holder? I’d be happy to throw in a cup holder?” “Really? You can do that?” YES and thank-you!
