Today I’m thankful for Aidan’s big brain. Every time a new professional evaluates him, we have to answer all kinds of seemingly ridiculous questions, though I really do understand that they have to ask. This weeks’s favorite question was, “Does he know who you are or does he recognize family?” Ummm…yeah. How do I know this? Garreth gets the biggest ever smile when he comes home from work, I get the biggest ever cry when I take him away from all of his wonderful friends at school. And this morning was the best. I can’t get on the computer in the morning because Aidan is so offended by my lack of attention. However, BlogMaster Uncle Joshy sent a video to say he’s arrived safely in Mongolia and gave a little tour of his apartment. Aidan tuned into Joshy’s voice instantly and got quiet. Then he started talking to Joshy’s voice. At the end of the video Joshy got the best ever wiggle giggle.
So, yes, my little smarty pants knows his family and I’m thankful.
P.S. I’m also thankful for the musical card that the wonderful Yale nurses sent to Professor Aidan. He loved it and will be taking it in for share time tomorrow.
