Ready for some inspiration and education? That’s what we’re all about this month. March 26 is Purple Day all around the world. This event was created in 2008 by Cassidy Megan, a young girl with Epilepsy who wanted to send the message that people with Epilepsy are not alone. This year there are awareness events on every continent. Never doubt the convictions or abilities of one child to make a difference.
Here’s how I’m participating in Purple Day; I’m dedicating the month of March on my blog to Epilepsy awareness. I’ll throw some facts, figures, and big words your way. I’ll introduce you to some people with Epilepsy. You’ll even meet a boy who’s had half his brain removed as treatment and is as handsome and smart as ever. Don’t believe me? Keep reading. And at the end of the month there will be a quiz…maybe.
Here’s what you can do. First and foremost, read these posts and share them. Get ready for Purple Day on March 26th. Gather your co-workers, running buddies, cafe moms, tell them something you’ve learned about Epilepsy and wear purple together.
Let’s do this for Cassidy, Aidan, and all of their friends who kick Epilepsy butt every day.
