I’m sure at some point I told you the incredible story of Aidan going up a 35 foot tower. We were harnessed together and raised slowly by a team pulling us. It was amazing at the top. Aidan was very vocal and loved looking around. It was a triumphant “Can Do” moment. The instructor at the top of the tower asked if he was doing the zip line. I know this to be 100% safe and actually very fun. However, Aidan would not have understood the implications of jumping off a huge tower into nothingness, though safely harnessed in. At that point, it just becomes your mom pushing you into mid-air. So, no thanks for Aidan.
That being said, here is a video I forgot to include on Friday’s Seven Snippets of media. This is a woman who is cognitively in control. I can’t verify nor will I comment on the safety of this activity. I’m showing it for pure entertainment. Don’t worry if you laugh with nervous laughter and maybe wet your pants a bit.
Maybe next year, Aidan.
