So I think I’ve said enough good things about about my wonderful husband to throw in just one thing that drives me bonkers. He’s sees problems where I see opportunities. The glass half full married the glass half empty. The good news is (I’m glass half full so there’s always good news) if I just wait him out, he comes around. I usually wait patiently after the knee jerk reaction of, “No, it can’t be done” for him to see the light. Sometimes, well, sometimes I can’t wait.
I recently made the executive decision to take our desk and computer out of the bedroom. I’ve always hated it there and Hulu is sucking our time away at night. I invited a friend over for the one chunk of time I had to do this. Unfortunately, on that day, Garreth was home sick. That kind of detail wouldn’t deter Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible so on I went. I snuck in and out of the room unplugging things and swiftly removed our electronics. I was SO ninja! Then my friend and I tried to move the desk. Turns out we needed to take the door off the hinges. Garreth woke up at this point. We were so busted. Fortunately, he was delusional with pain and just started laughing. He told us where his power tools were and we were off.
My friend and I accomplished the task with lots of giggles and girl power. We even managed to put all those dang wires back together. While Garreth did want to know why I made that move, he was overall pleased. So really, he gets more wonderful all the time. I must be good for him.
