A special shout out to Aidan’s fan club at Yale. Here’s an interesting perspective on some medical issues.
First, genetic testing. What a hot button topic laden with emotion. I believe every prospective parent or pregnant woman should have access to accurate information. I also believe they should all have a safe place to voice their concerns. That being said, no one lives life without challenges of some sorts. This blog was birthed out of the desire to appreciate this (sometimes difficult and sometimes joyful) journey I’m on raising Aidan. There was no sign during my pregnancy that anything was out of the ordinary so raising a child with a disability and all that entails never crossed my mind. Once again, Max’s mom says it all beautifully.
And Trevy’s mom shares her thoughts about participating in this interesting study about epilepsy. I bet she’ll keep us posted with any interesting information. (See, that was cyber-pressure because I know she reads this blog! :)) Aidan is not participating as he doesn’t fit the specific qualifications, though I love that this big bad monster is being researched and hopefully taken down.
And finally, this is a wonderful and informative post to the medical community from a woman who has seizures, stroke, and prosopagnosia.
Have a great weekend.
