Keepin’ it real cuz it’s all so hard
I haven’t written and I need to write. Also, I’ve been wanting to show you my new Stitch Fix outfits but it turns out taking pictures of me is hard. Me being camera ready is hard.
I highly recommend that you go to Mary Evelyn’s blog to see how a real mom works the camera and then feel free to come back here for a giggle.
This is me wondering if Liam is really taking the picture before I’m ready:
I loved and bought this skirt. Maxi skirts are so right for me but sometimes they’re too long or ridiuclous. This was so so soft and just right. My rules are I have to be able to complete the outfit with something in my wardrobe and be prepared to wear it a lot. I’ve worn this skirt all the dang time.
The sweater here was also super soft but I didn’t like the side slits, which you can’t see because ugh, photography is hard and posing is hard and it’s all just a big challenge.
And then there’s this:
I kept this blue sweater and this is one of the reasons I really like Stitch Fix. This sweater is out of my comfort zone. It has wings. I would not have picked it up in a store but now I really like it. If you’re from a modeling agency and considering contacting me, please don’t. This is too hard. If you’re super impressed that I’m smiling in the kitchen I’d like to point out two things:
- Am I really smiling?
- That’s a yummy locally brewed porter in my glass
- Counting to two is so hard but I thought I’d also let you know this is the first time I’ve cooked dinner in ages. It’s also not really in my comfort zone. So scary. Is chocolate dinner?
Anyway, that’s all I really have to say right now except that you should totally try Stitch Fix and yes, if you click on the link through my blog I do get a kickback for referrals, one you can get too! Also, they send the most wonderful notes.
I love how she tells me exactly how to dress because getting dressed is so hard.
Anyway, it’s a new year and everything should get easier soon.
