I’m Thankful for Donors
This blog was birthed out of the desire to tell our story, about life with Aidan and raising money for a van, by focusing on the journey. Our story has become your story and it amazes me.
One man who doesn’t know us made a donation because he grew up near a boy who had Cerebal Palsey. Aidan’s story reminded him of his friend and inspired him to give.
Another mom of a child with a disability who doesn’t know me, recognized our journey and wanted to give.
A friend that I sing with has gotten her co-workers so excited that they decided to adopt Team Aidan as their Christmas project. Atlantic Orthodontic Center is matching funds given by their employees.
Aidan’s teachers have gotten involved. One took the time to make a beautiful basket and raffle it off for Aidan.
And, of course, the Powerthirst story still amazes me.
And here’s a big one – Aidan’s cousins in Ireland have decided, in lieu of Christmas presents from their grandparents this year, they want to make a family donation to Team Aidan. Children never cease to amaze me.
Grateful, humbled, amazed. This Thanksgiving, there is much to celebrate.
