    I was never a fan of my mom forcing friendships on me either. Which is why I agree on one hand. On the other…my heart aches for our boys. The other day at the beach…when Trevy was putting sand IN a hole rather than helping take it OUT and frustrating the snot out of the other kids…my heart wept. He needs friends in his life who will accept him for who he is. And joy in who he is. And see the beauty of who he is.     Hmm… so difficult. My nephew Eric is good friends with another boy who has severe disabilities. Eric is 8, almost 9, His friend is 13.They have been (and hopefully will continue to be) excellent friends but I can see that Eric is just coming to realize the differences as he continues to mature and his friend does not.
    praying that Aiden will never face a day without a friend to champion him. <3
