I have a Kobo, which is the really basic Borders e-reader.

I don’t love the thing, though I like it more than I expected to.

I haven’t tried a communication app with Trevy yet…which one are you using with A??

And I’m SO tempted to get a kindle myself. I homeschool the oldest two…that’s my justification that it’s totally not materialistic. 😉

  3. Ken – Can you lend books or get library books with the Kobo?

Danielle – I’m going to justify your Kindle for you by saying, really, you homeschool, write TWO blogs, and deal with a catastrophic illness. When could you possibly have time to go to the library? You’re really are depriving your children if you DON”T get a Kindle 🙂
Aidan uses Proloqo2go. It’s very comprehensive (and expensive). I don’t love the pictures but it is easy to use. He’s got lots of other fun education and cause/effect apps.

As far as I know, no. I don’t think that I have any of those abilities.

This is the most-basic version, not even the wireless model. It was also the one I was able to get cheap in an open-box clearance.
